The Banquet and Awards Ceremony was a Success.

Even the Weather Could not keep us from going.

Just a little Note from a observer.

As most of you know we had another snow storm and this one scheduled itself right around our annual Banquet and Awards ceremonies.  But with the determination of many and the help of emails we were still able to have a decent turnout and a successfull silent auction.  The silent auction tables were full and lots of bidding was going on.  The tables were elegant and lit by warm candlelight.  The food inside was warm and inviting.   Even though the weather was cold and kept many of our winners away the presentations were entertaining and excitement filled the room when the speakers finally took their place making their annoucements.  The many door prizes are fun for all including those who are not there to accept awards but just to have a warm and inviting night out.  As in the past the speakers are great story tellers of not only the past, but of present events that reflect why and who they are presenting to.  The history of these awards gives a much appreciated understanding of them.  It is wonderful to hear them speak and joke around with each other.  The stories are never the same and always very intertaining.  It is always a pleasure for me to be there again to hear all the stories after enjoying a wonderful and very filling meal.  The evening ends with armfulls of trophys and smiles, good laughter and a fullfilling night out with friends of new and old.  A night that can be appreciated and enjoyed.  Honoring these members is not only felt from the presenters, but from the audience as well.  I truly enjoy seeing them being honored in a wonderful and entertaining way and hope they feel as honored as I feel watching them accept their awards.  Congratulations to all and I hope to see many of you again next year.  Thanks for sharing with me your wonderful night of honor.
